Opening Exhibition

6th April to 5th May 2012

I am delighted to be taking part in the ‘Opening Exhibition' of Gallery 41, a new exhibition space in Watchet, Somerset.

The new gallery is located in a beautiful renovated historic house, and you can see the restoration of the building in progress on their blog at http://watchetconservationsociety.blogspot.com/

The work I will be exhibiting at their opening show will be an installation inspired by the sea around Britain. As well as my waders and pebbles, I will also be showing some new sculpture-like stone shapes. During a residency last October on Cornwall’s Atlantic Coast at Brisons Veor, I was greatly taken by the colours and shapes in pebbles and larger boulders, and this led me to produce my new stoneware shapes.

I will also be showing my new larger ‘Nettle’ vessels, which are pictured here.
